Season opens for 2 weeks in Sept. It closes opening day of regular bow season. If kid doesnt shoot one during youth season their tag is good for any other regular gun season. Youth tag is gun tag only.

Re: Alex's redemption buck
Congrats Alex!
I don't think nonresident youth get to hunt the Iowa youth season. The wording at the IDNR website reads like they would need to hunt under the adult's license: "NONRESIDENTS UNDER AGE 16 who hunt under the direct supervision of their properly licensed parent, guardian or other competent adult DO NOT need a hunting license or pay the habitat fee." Under "Season Choice" for nonresident, youth season is not listed. https://www.iowadnr.gov/Portals/idnr/up ... -guide.pdf

It's from Colorado and it's not as good as I remember. Plenty of other, better, whiskeys out there to be honest

That’s a stud. It must be that time of the year when Muddy brings his kids out to out hunt 90% of us. Ha. That’s fantastic, congratulations! I love the redemption side of it. Way to stick with it.
Persistence is undefeated.
