Here are the two shots I took at 100 yards last week. I did not shoot a fouling round.

When I backed up to 200 I shot twice. Bullet holes were 1 7/8” apart. 10.5” of drop from 100 to 200 yards.

That is a great buck and it definitely looks like you found the load your gun likes. One thing you mentioned before though is that you have to run magnum primers and use a different breech plug for the blackhorn 209. Just didn't want someone new to try it out with their original equipment.

Do you like that pumpkin patch camo? Lord I’m thankful I don’t have to wear that stuff. Not certain it’s harmful but would definitely make me feel silly. Plus I don’t like laws to tell me what I gotta do for my own personal safety. I use to always wear a seatbelt until they told me I had to. Now I don’t just to spite em. Hunters orange is a lot like herpes to me. Sure I’ve heard of it and aware of the risks but I prefer it to be someone else’s problem.

Nice buck. This reminds me I need to work up a new load for my muzzleloader. I bought blackhorn powder but didn’t work up a load last summer. The lack of a muzzleloader tag didn’t provide much motivation.

That’s only half orange! A true Minnesotan wears orange from head to toe.

When I hunt SD that’s how you can tell a resident from non. NR will have lots of orange on, residents only wear an orange hat because that’s all thats required. ;)

One things for sure. The deer can’t see it. I had an orange vest and hat on when I killed my archery doe during youth season. She was 15 yards and I had others closer.

Well Done Ryan. Great buck. I am done preaching on loose powder being better than pellets. I will let you take it from here. Pellets suck, slower is worser.

 thanks Lou

Slower is worser
Inconsistent burn rates are worser
Inconsistent load charges (weight) is worser
Soaking up moisture like a sponge is worser
