2nd trad harvest
The unusual NE winds set up perfectly for one of my favorite local farms. It’s a dairy that will let anyone hunt and I believe the only farm with field corn in my whole county so obviously that’s a deer magnet. It borders extremely thick bedding cover then transitions into nice oak woods before the fields. I setup right on the edge of the top bench with my wind blowing over a steep rock bluff. A nice 2.5 yr old 8 worked by but out of range and then probably 45 mins before dark a group of 3 adult does emerged and slowly fed my way. They walked right under my tree and my arrow found it’s mark at about 8 yds. I gave her overnight because I didn’t see her fall and didn’t want to bump her into the nasty thicket on the neighbors. She went less than 100 yds in total
