Last archery tag filled

Unread postby Matt Gill » Mon Nov 21, 2022 3:48 am

Filled my last regular season WV archery tag yesterday evening on this nice doe. She is my 5th deer on the year with traditional archery (2 we’re taken during an anterkess rifle season where bow can be substituted) Switching to trad has definitely been a fun learning experience and a good way to force myself to really hone my woodsmanship and setups. I’ve had two cruising bucks get by me at 25ish yds in the last two weeks but still don’t regret the switch at all

You certainly went all in on trad. I'm still dinking around with mine and grabbing xbow and guns to fill tags. Hats off to you Matt.

Congrats! I went all trad a couple years ago and it was the best hunting decision I’ve ever made. Not only did it up my woodsmanship it is just flat out more fun to shoot ‘em with the stick!
