What they observed about the bottom 1/3 in hill country is exactly what I have been seeing lately as well. I think these older deer are getting too much pressure on the ridge tops where I hunt and it’s pushing them down.

The hills I hunt almost always have a trout stream at the bottom. So if you are prepared to cross a stream, you can get to a lot of places where deer are getting very limited pressure.
