Great deer everyone, we are all having fun. Came back to SE Wis today. Bank gave me more money for land, if I want it. Big sheriff auction in the UP in two weeks. Buying for grandson.

Sitting in Washington County. No one out, let 6 go by, one small buck. Lots of fun. No wind cool evening.

In a natural hide with my xbow.

No wind?!

I practically have to hold my hat on

Just had a doe and fawn head in to the bedding where I’m hoping the big one is.

Scouted most of the day just to end up in a low odds spot. There's 2 cornfields that are split by a Crp strip that spits out onto public. I had a shooter on Cam just after dark a couple weeks ago and the path and the surrounding cover seems logical. Honestly expecting to see nothing but we shall see. Good luck all

He’s gonna smell I was nearby. I was 125-150 yards away and spent a bunch of time in the thicket where I jumped the other deer which was 250 yards or so. So not sure what that means for tomorrow.

Did manage to knock down my best buck morning of Sept 3 in North Dakota. Caught him going back to bed on an oak ridge top. 12yds, double lunged him. First out of state buck

Good luck to everyone out!!

Congrats

I'd give it a go anyway. Never know.

Had a deer come in down wind and start blowing. Only saw the white flag. Not a very eventful evening

I have to try. Man that sucks though. Mature buck for sure. It’s a buck I call “Skinny”. He took THE trail I was going to set up on.

Only reason I didn’t was because I didn’t have definitive proof a big one was around. And I told myself I needed to observe more and not throw hope and pray sits as much because they rarely work.

Well low and behold this one would have. One big reason I shy’d away is because I would have been down in a hole again watching one single trail. If I had some sign, yeah I’d have been all about it. But I hate not being able to see especially if I don’t know he’s home.

Oh well. Tomorrow will be an interesting hunt. I just measured and I stopped scouting 162 yards from where he was bedded. I left a significant amount of scent 320 yards from him.

I watched him rub a sapling and then for whatever reason he took off at a gallop down the trail I planned on sitting. That’s the 3rd time I’ve seen him use it in 5 observations. Last time was the end of August.

I struggle with setting up without sign. I'm sure I've left spots that would have produced.

Hopefully it's just far enough away to not booger his bedding and you catch him slipping up tomorrow

I had a lone doe track me to my tree. She was looking around trying to find me. She eventually wandered off, never gave me a shot.

If a technical issue with a boat doesn’t mean it sank in a river and you had to swim, then it’s really not so bad!!!

 Truth!

It was with my kayak cart as I had a long haul to the water thanks to the dry conditions. But I think I resolved the issues.

Bust for me. I think some squirrel hunters just went thru before I got there, as i saw them in the parking lot and there were limited areas they could go.

Saw nothing on the stand, but spooked something tearing down..
