You best bet is to pull the information from the Minnesota DNR and correlate with latitude.

Here is the current MN WSI map. I cannot find a Wisconsin WSI map anywhere.

It's not the knowing that's difficult, but the doing.

This could be a real bad year on the herd.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

I have read about some deer having trouble getting up and some being found dead here in Michigan already. One was in Jackson county (probably from exposure) which is all farm country (lots of big bucks too).
You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

Saw a buck fawn in rough shape this evening during the snow storm. I doubt he makes it. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

It'll be stressful waiting for the trail camera pics this year. That is for sure.

I just knew it was gonna be a bad winter, those deer had a pile of fat on them even in September!

Now that you mention it the doe I shot had a ton of fat- enough that I noticed it as unusual.

We got two bucks in Mid October, same spot, both 2.5 years old. One had some of the most fat I have seen on a deer in Illinois, the other was the leanest deer I have seen in a looongg time. I mean there was barely any fat, if any over tenderloins.

My buddy was out at our farm in Central Illinois today since it was in the 40s year. He said that there were deer everywhere in our standing beans and the tracks were everywhere. Granted we probably have the only standing crops within a mile. I'm hoping the added crops for food and the thick cedars are keeping them warm!
