Yeah it was his birthday on the 10th. Spaced out mentioning it. Even had it marked on the calendar.

Just listened to his podcast from 2015, what a sweet man huge loss for the site and his family and friends
"I don't care if you use it or not, I could care less, There's no money in it for me, Im not making any money from scent-lok... I'm making a little bit of royalties from the saddlehunter suit"

I listened to one from the beast yesterday about river bottoms. Not sure if it's the same one you listened to or not but he sounds like a genuine man. To bad I wasn't able to get to know him on here.

Any link to the pod cast? Or just which one it was on? Would like to give this one a listen.
It only takes 15 seconds for the hunt of a lifetime.

dan wrote:I got some shocking and devastating news today... A man, a real man, my friend, Stanley Schmidt passed away yesterday.
Known by every one here as "Stan" he was a great person who stood strong in his values and stood beside his wife Jan, not in front, and not behind. He was a great deer hunter who was humble and never talked much about his own accomplishments, but praised others often. I have not cried in many years, but this news brought a tear to my eye. The world can't afford to loose a great man like Stan.
Rest in piece brother, I will join you before to long...
Ironically his last post was the day before he passed and he was warning others to be careful of an electrical hazard that could kill you...

Re: R.I.P. Stan...
Mr Stan. This fall I decided to stick your knife in my pack with thoughts of gutting a buck in your memory with the knife you donated to the buck contest those years back. Well, I got the nuts cut off before I threw that Pakistani piece of crap back into my pack because it was so dull!! You definitely had a good laugh up above over that I'm sure. This morning was a beaut, and so is this buck.
