Got out last night on a secluded clearcut butting up against a swamp. Had a doe and two fawns at about 65 yards. Not sure if I'll be back there tonight or somewhere else. Coming down to the wire

Got out tonight on our food plot again. Ended up setting up on a trail leading in about 50 yards off the field. There was probably 10 deer in the field when I got there at 3. Was able to make it to my three without bumping anything. Had 4 yr and a half bucks pass by at 35 yards and got busted drawing on a doe inside of twenty. It was so still and quiet she busted at the sound of my coat when I drew.

Learning a few lessons from this late season. It has been super fun but it is tough when it's so still and quiet. Cant get away with anything. Honestly cant believe I've never hunted late seasons before as this has truly been some of my best sits this year were in January. At this point I think I've pressured my food plot sufficiently and both of my target bucks have been way more scarce since that first sit in January. Maybe I try and sneak out next weekend again and maybe not. Either way it's been a good year with lots learned. Good luck to everyone still grinding

I decided to hunt with Daves bow... He waited all summer to hunt and the covid killed him just before season... Today he hunts

I got my cold front and I needed a north wind to hunt this spot. Found some beds in the cats last spring and I am about 75-100 yards from them on a trail that connects to the hardwoods. Please be home big boy!

Got my second doe in the freezer. Time to move on to my buck tag now.

I temporarily locked this thread (LAST YEAR'S Live thread) just to keep folks from accidentally posting on it. PM me or any other mod to unlock
