Good luck everyone! My 4 yr old Charli and I got to our spot about an hour after daylight (so right on time )
We did some spotting and stalking but didn’t spot anything to stalk Hard to know for sure but we might have been a TAD loud? Honestly after the first couple minutes I didn’t even ask her to whisper but she had fun “hunting” so mission accomplished.

Pretty morning in the woods, snuck out for a few hours. Had 2 come thru right before legal light. Couldn’t see
Them, but they went by at 15-20yds behind me. Heard them coming, but then they stepped into the tall wet grass and went silent. So close again. Lol. Trying to fill my doe tag if possible.

After I got the doe Saturday, I hit a different WMA for last night and thus morning. First sits without seeing anything. I am probably done with this WMA for a few weeks.
Congrats to all the killers

Re: Live from the field 2021-2022
Got a very rare SW wind. Works awesome for a couple of my favorite sets… on properties where I haven’t verified shooters. I’m going to ignore the temptation, stay the course and chase my targets. SW also works perfect for a new set I’m super excited about but I think it’s a little early to dive in there.
I’m gonna check cams quick, and if I believe either target is home I’ll make a plan and go for it. Plan B is check for hot sign at a different property.

Re: Live from the field 2021-2022
I’m back on a 2 prong point surrounded by water and cattails. Last year I saw a stud work his way around the point downwind of it from 120 yards away while I was also watching the buck I ended up shooting that night in his bed 45yds away. On my way in I passed 2 waist high rubs from this year and when I got to the end of the point I found a scrape which is a 19 yard shot. It doesn’t look like it’s been hit since the rain last night. Hoping he’s using the same tiny bedding area and swings around my way.

Weather Bug is saying SW wind
Weather Underground is saying NE wind
At the last stop sign I stuck my hand out the window and it’s NW.

Well this might be a bust. Between the wind that can’t make up its mind and the thermals, my milkweed went from perfect for the first hour to swirling all over the last 30. If the wind would just stay constant I would be good. It won’t matter anyways, this spot will either produce or a complete bust until late October

Perfect weather for me!! 70 degrees breezy. I'm 2.5 sticks up a big oak about 75 yards from a hilltop bed I found last late fall. Not sure it's used or not...but had to try! No bugs and no cold! Seeing a deer would be a bonus!

Re: Live from the field 2021-2022
All setup for the evening. Number one buck was on cam headed into bedding I am sitting this am. What a day already though! Super fun night last night, lots of deer seen. I filmed a fun buck fight and Arrowbender killed a good one and we dragged it out this morning and took photos for him. Full story coming soon I’m sure.
Tree was a little noisy tonight so I broke out my Uncle Lou bark silencer from my bag. So comfy!!
