Re: Bigwoods DVD
Dan, in #4 around the 3 minute mark you are set up in hardwoods which appeared to me a bit more open than we usually see you set up in. And I missed the time of year for that hunt. What time of year was it that you had the two encounters there and what led you to that spot? Are you there because it's a travel corridor in the rut? Or are you hunting near thicker bedding? thanks

Its as close to bedding as I can get. I am where travel goes to from several bedding areas. But they are 300 to 500 yards away and in the times I sat there outside of rut, I only had immature bucks make it to me in daylight... There was one time I had 2 nice bucks come out of bedding and I watched them come all the way in, just for it to be to dark to ethically shoot when they got under me. I set up in open areas all the time, a guy needs to be able to shoot. Its a matter of how far you are from bedding, and a little whats going on at the time your hunting ( rut, cold front, etc)

Re: Bigwoods DVD
Another solid video. At the 20min mark sitting in a tree talking about a 9pt ya muffed a shot on, looks like you had a set of rattling antlers in the back.
I've never seen ya have antlers in the stand,
Do you try that in the "big woods" setting ?

I dont call often, but ib that case I could see some good areas and felt I mav be able to call a buck over if it was not coming my way.

Great stuff Dan! I can't get enough of your scouting videos. Always something to learn even if I don't hunt the same terrain. Alot of the same features though. Is good as you are at explaining things and your willingness maybe you should have been a teacher.

Have enjoyed watching them all and eagerly looking for the next video...like a child waiting on Santa.

I’ll echo one of the comments from the YouTube page! You need to make a “caught me a critter” video!
