Success
Success isn’t always a kill. Sometimes success is the quiet voice at the end of a rough day saying, I will try again tomorrow...

Re: Success
So many of my most memorable hunts didn’t include a kill and that’s how it should be. It’s all about the journey. Sometimes reaching the destination is kinda bittersweet in a way. Took me a lot of years to finally figure that out. The road travelled is what it’s all about. Success can have a totally different meaning to each person.

Great post Dan!
The voice In my head isn’t quiet or even nice to me now that I think about it.

Re: Success
Neat picture. I’m pretty apathetic about whether or not I kill a buck so personally success to me isn’t really related too much to the kill. I entirely do it just for fun.. I don’t like to sit still very long so to make my season successful is simply getting a bunch of big bucks on camera, having a few hunts and at least seeing some mature bucks, and then finding some nice shed antlers

If it’s Dan it’s an influencer photo. If it’s Rick it’s and Instagram model photo.

Re: Success
I needed this. Busted by does 4 times this season already, no meat in the freezer. Hard to kill them, much less a buck. But I keep hammering.

Yeah, but if killing a big buck didnt involve going home emptyhanded a whole bunch of times it really wouldnt be as big of a deal. At the end of every unsuccessful hunting day I just need ask myself what I would have rather been doing instead of hunting...
They say millwrights can fix anything except a broken heart, but I've even got a tool that can do that!
