Re: MOON DAYS (2022)
I've tried, and tried, and I just cant make sense of the moon phases and deer movement. Several buddies are big believers in it, and are successful, guess I just don't get it.

Re: MOON DAYS (2022)
You can do a search or two on here for the real conversation about it. But generally it seems deer activity is earlier/more visible during an overhead or underfoot situation.
I hope other 500 club members get into this thread. My explanation is super basic since I hunt when I get a chance and can't schedule around this.

You don't have to be the best, just do your best.

Re: MOON DAYS (2022)
Looking forward to that October 2nd first quarter moon. Had that one circled for a while. Should be a good evening.
Strategically Inefficient

Basically, the days that match for Morning & Evening should be the best moon days
I definitely prefer Overhead vs Underfoot. The best day is when they both match prime time. I forgot to mark those..
I also do not hunt on Full Moons and New Moons can be flakey

How do these dates translate over to Eastern standard Time?

Thanks for doing this.
I've always been sceptical about moon position claims but trying to be more open minded about things I started keeping track in my journals and general observations of daily moon position. In the past few years doing so I must admit I do see some correlation between overhead position and evening deer feeding activity. I am paying more attention to it now but still definitely not planning my hunts around it.

I haven't been at it that long, but have definitely seen some correlation between those quarter moon overhead during early season evening activity out in the fields, and with mid day movement on the new moon. Might be just a coincidence, or possibly other factors that got them moving those days, but it's definitely been enough to make me at least look at it.

Re: MOON DAYS (2022)
Definitely something to this as I have experienced it myself.
However pressure and weather will trump these in my opinion.
