Congrats killers! I'm on my first bowhunt of the season this morning. Beautiful foggy morning. Suns coming up and burning off the fog in a hurry. No deer from the stand yet but I did almost hit a 2 yr old 8 pointer with my truck this morning which is funny because I almost hit a 2 year old 8 pointer with my truck yesterday morning. Almost hitting two 8 pointers in two mornings with the truck can only mean one thing. ... I must be destined to shoot a 16 pointer this morning... have a good day everyone

All set up at my farm. There’s a 5 year old 8 point that spends a lot of time here. Hoping that he will make an appearance tonight. I think he may be going out to the west of here to eat acorns on the neighbor, but you never know.

Good luck to all you Beast out and about this evening. Also to those of you with openers tomorrow

My daughter and I are splitting a parcel of oaks this evening. Her spot looks really fresh and mine not too shabby
Hunting ahead of the rains coming in from Ian.
So hoping for good quick clean shots on a big MattGill Nanny doe  There are a few nice 8pts been on cams here too so fingers crossed one of those shows himself

Jumped one along the river as I paddled in, couldn’t see it but it went off into the cattails. Then jumped a small 2.5yr old once I got to the first oaks, he went down into the swamp and might have taken another with him. Decided to push further towards the property line and about got ran over by a fawn and had a doe and her fawn out on the picked corn field blow when they got downwind of me. I’m setup on the heaviest trail out of the swamp with a scrape 10 yards away. The wind is blowing my scent into the corn field on private but I have oaks on this ridge that drops down into the swamp. Hoping the wind and my dropping thermals keep me protected from anything coming from the east and also the swamp.

Good luck to everyone out!

I slipped into the edge of a bedding area. They can exit on numerous different trails. Should be interesting.

Ground sit 13 yards from a tore up horizontal rub in thick willow bedding. Right next to a car sized hood bed. I have a feeling i blew him out on my way in. Oh well,, there's numerous bucks in here so hopefully one comes through. The rub is super fresh, the marsh grass all around it is fluffed up still where they've been working the rub..

Just passed a 4 point broadside at 15 yards.
Hope more bucks come before dark.

My oldest has soccer tonight. Later I’m taking all 3 girls for a “sleepover” at my parents house. Me included  gonna give the wife some serious me time. 5 hunts in and she’s already showing signs of being over it :? so I’m trying to gain back some ground before I really hit the woods hard in a few weeks.

I’m hoping to make it out Sunday with plenty of time to scout around.

I heard in a podcast “never trust an east wind” I understand now! I had all variations of east tonight. North east to south east.
