Chose the 30-06 like many others because of it being able to hunt any game animal and the versatility of bullet size.
If I’m in the woods where shooting distance is limited, and/or still hunting, I love, love, love, my model 94 30-30. I have a Williams peep sight on her and no sling.
I just love carrying this rifle it is so light and balanced in my hands and just how it shoots and feels. It is quick and agile to get on target
Quick question for you about that Williams peep sight on the 94 first is it an older one with the top eject, if so did you have to do any drilling or tapping or did it just mount right up. I want to get a peep sight on my 94 but I don’t want to drill or tap. I can’t tell for sure how those Williams peeps get mounted.
Yes my 94 is from 1980
It is top eject
I did not have to drill or tap anything and it mounted right on very easy, took about five minutes maybe.
I am very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone
I think I got mine from Midway USA for around $65?
Look in Midway and look for the model that fits the Win 94.
Cool I will do that thanks for the info.!!!

Alright I’ve got one ordered. Are you just using the factory front sight or did you have to replace that as well?
I was lucky and was able to sight in with the original front sight.
So I did not have to switch that.
I know sometimes that people have had to change out their front sight.
I did remove the rear sight though because for me it really messed with my sight picture.
If you decide to do this you can get a plug for the space
I cut off he rear and shaped it and then put it back on.
