No matter what is going on you are not hunting Florida! Enjoy it! I totally get feeling the pressure of going to a big buck state. I have hunted Ky every year since 2013. My biggest buck is 132”! And I would shoot that buck 100 times out of 100. I’ve screwed up some opportunities at some big bucks. Just remember you will never hit a home run if you didn’t swing the bat. Follow your gut and put everything you got in every swing. Being timid has saved a bunch of bucks lives.

Keep scouting and bounce to different properties until you find the hot sign you believe in.

If your concern is burn out or frustration, break it up a little. Instead of a 12 day marathon, go for two 5 or 6 day hunts.
Just getting home for a few nights even if hunting at home as well can alleviate some of the grind!
If schedule allows.
This can also break up any unfavorable weather or rut activity!

One of the harder parts to doing out of state/hunting trips for me is leaving the wife and kid home. I know why I'm hunting. I know what my goals are. I can focus when I'm in the field. It's usually the checkin that is tough. The phone calls. The text messages. The when are you coming home daddy? That makes it harder.

Rent a nice cabin in the area your hunting and make a family vacation out of it. I spent 4 weeks in Iowa last season and my wife joined me 3 times for a few days at a time. Broke up the time nicely and didn’t distract my hunting at all. She even sat with me on a few hunts. First time that ever happened and I really enjoyed it. Makes you feel a whole lot less guilty being away from home for so long.

All I can say is this isn't your first rodeo! Your an excellent hunter and you know exactly what your doing. It's Iowa so don't let the "IOWA" get in the way of deer hunting and your thinking. Im in SE IA so if your hunting around here let me know and I can help you drag one out.

Nothing new from me.
I'll second: Things can change in a very short amount of time, and look for a couple of places to jump between.
I hunt a couple properties 15 minutes apart and when one goes dead, the other might be rocking. Don't put all your eggs in 1 property basket. Jump around if it isn't happening.
