Stanley wrote:There have been a lot of questions on topos and what they will do/not do, for the scouting part of hunting. So I though I'd start this thread on how to read topographical maps. Some guys might find this elementary but the new guys might find it informative so the seasoned topo readers bear with and feel free to add.

thank you Stanley. that video was great for getting back to the basics of how to read a topographic map. I hadn't looked at a topographic map since high school until I started getting more serious about hunting. I did know how to read one quite well. I am glad I refreshed my memory on it, I had a good idea on what I was looking at before but just reviewing the information, allows me to have the map pop out at me a lot better. I should have watched that video a while ago. Thanks again

Best book around for hunting hill country.
Finally pulled the trigger on this book last night. Then I come on here and see the beasts referring it out. I'm ecstatic.
