Trampled Marsh Grass.. Bedding or something else?

While doing some summer scouting in swamp/marsh area I was checking out some Willows off the point of hardwoods where you would expect some buck bedding to be.

There were deer trails leading to and from the photographed willows and I could find some deer hair but not a ton. There was raccoon crap in the willow tree too.

My question is, is all this trampled marsh grass from deer bedding or raccoons, or both, or something else?
