What do you guys do about blisters from walking too much?

I probably covered at least 20 miles of ground the last week hunting. Needing to wear snake boots with Temps in the 80s..

I've gotten 2 very large sores on the back of my ankles they look terrible red and inflamed not to mention painful. . Put neosporin on them to prevent infection. But I don't intend to quit hunting.


I dunno if band aids would help to much.
Two pair socks or thicker socks?

Do you guys have this issue with boots.

Get some rock tape and put it right over those hot spots then just keep on trucking. The stuff works great.

Thicker merino socks will help too if your boots feel a tad sloppy causing those blisters.

I was gonna say duct tape directly on your skin over the hot spots that blister. Doing this will Stop the friction on your skin.

Leukotape works well where hot spots start to develop. It is not intended to be used on actual blisters since the adhesive can pull away skin and expose the sensitive area.

Moleskin works great over hot spots if you put it on before they turn into blisters.

Leukotape in a preventative way! I’ve got it on all the time. Multiple layers of it. It’s honestly the best
