New 53acre purchase

Unread postby Edcyclopedia » Sun Jan 30, 2022 5:21 am

Will be closing on a great piece of south facing property by end of Feb...
53 acres that was selectively logged a handful of years ago.
Realy did a great job leaving some bedding and tons of red oak.

We fell in love with it and walking it, already found 13 beds & good browse to keep the deer activity interesting,
Jake & I will start working the land but need to upgrade my JD 1025r TLB.
I'd like your opinions / experiences if you care to help out - thx!

That’s awesome great for you and your family.
I have been saving for years and have started a search of my own.

Hope you enjoy for years and ground is always a good investment if you do your homework.

Still love public hunting but dream of having a place of my own as I get older. Also will be great if I can pass on to my kids later.

Congrats!!

Congrats Ed. Draw out a good detailed plan on "paper" where you want everything. You can use the internet to draw things out & get GPS coordinates & then use your phone/GPS to lay it out in the woods & go from there to turn it into some exceptional hunting. 8-)
You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.
