Absolutely no-till plots can work. It’s going to depend on how you do them and what you plant and how your soil is though. Lot of variables go into what type of results up will have

I ran my atv with a aerator over 2 acres 2 weeks ago. The mix was pelletized lime, clover, brassica and wheat or oats or something like that.

I wouldn’t have mixed grains with brasicas . You can go in later once the brasicas take off and over seed with some grains so they aren’t competing . Keep us updated how it goes.

I’m no farmer but imo plots work 10x better if you can kill off all the vegetation with one spraying of round up mid to late May and one in July. Then scratch up the top 2 inches of soil with something then throw your seed down in late august.. Then pack it down with something. Has worked well for me

I agree with spraying but the second you start scratching the surface even a couple inches those weed seeds are going to come to life and then I’d wait to spray again- it’s a viscous cycle
