A phone call would have saved you a lot of headaches.

I believe he is talking about Eddy, did you verify everything with Eddy ( day before) just before your hunt was scheduled?

The fourth VLOG. If you read between the lines it's pretty obvious what's going on.

Sorry to hear about the bad situation. I hope your source up there gets off the bottle and gets his act together.

I also hope you find other avenues to spring bear hunt in a self guided way in the coming seasons. It looks like a great time when things go more according to plan. With most things in life the more work you put into it, the sweeter the success is. I'm sure your next bear will mean more to you after dealing with what you had to.

I'm sorry that after several years of waiting that is how it went down. Is it hard to find outfitters up there that will get you the paperwork to do it on your own?

Very difficult. The reason he did it for me was because I helped him get his business up and running when he was in his early 20's and inherited the property and bear hunting concession from his grandfather. He had no clue how to run a bear hunting business so I took him under my wing. I took him stands, trail cams, bait, etc. I brought him dozens of hunters through my magazine articles and youtube and he threw it all away. Very sad.

I believe until this year in Ontario if an American owned land up there you could bear hunt that unit or at least on the land you owned I'm not 100 percent sure which one. But they have changed that regulation and now must go thru an outfitter one less thing a diy hunter can do !
