Really sucks if it’s not legit.
But how many of the true giants actually get killed on bait?

He didn't even take all of the meat! What a puke!

Hope they throw the book at him, since he's had multiple violations.

Re: Monster Minnesota Bear
What a loser. How somebody can proudly pose with an animal they knowingly poached blows my mind. Absolutely zero sportsmanship. Hope they nail him good.

Re: Monster Minnesota Bear
I wonder if he shot it out of one of the dumpsters right along the hwy?
Does MN penalize you more if it’s a trophy animal?
I don’t know if that bears B&C or not but it’s definitely not your average bear.
I would think they would have seized his vehicle too.
As high profile as this case is they need to run him through the wringer!

No he shot it at the dump. He almost certainly had help, probably from a band member, someone took the photos of him with the bear so there had to be someone else involved. I think he's in pretty serious trouble. Nobody who's not a ban member goes in there and shoots a bear by themselves unless they have a death wish.

A federal judge sentenced a Brainerd man to more than a year in prison and a $9,500 fine for wildlife trafficking and trespassing.
Seems like only a slap on the wrist to me.

You do 85% percent of Federal time. So he will be in for a year for sure. If he was charge by the state he’d get a slap on hand. Guy has a wildlife and criminal record a mile long.
