I watched a bear yesterday for about 5 minutes as it walked down a forest road. It was mid day. This reminded me of a theory I have. I believe bears use the forest roads to travel when trying to get from point a to b. I also believe they use them mid day way more than people expect. A disclaimer no dog hunting here.
I now use this to my advantage when hunting.
Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Re: Videoed a bear yesterday
Wow no nibbles
Also non bear related but along the same thoughts. It seems from watching the scrap pile in my field in front of my house in the winter is stressed hungry animals travel mostly mid day in the winter up north.
Anyone else have any observations on this?

Animals use the path of least resistance whenever they can. Sometimes that's a road.
