Yes it was. It actually got down to 39 degrees. Big change from 93.

Hey it’s just one of those things, it’s gonna happen if you hunt long enough. Ground shrinkage happens to the best of us. I shot a spike that I mistook for a doe last bow season.

Lessons are always there to be learned, but it’s also good to find a silver lining in everything. It could have been much worse.

You didn’t do anything illegal, made a lethal shot and had an easy carry out! Congrats.

It happens no one is perfect, actually we have had almost the exact same thing happen to a very experienced bear hunter in our bear hunting group.
