That is a very solid (WILD!) black bear in anybody's book, regardless of its' sex.
Solid healthy condition, big head, gorgeous pelt. Mature bear.

So maybe it isn't 600 pounds of badly-rubbed blubber like so many "garbage dump bears" you often see pics of, but It's one that I would rather shoot.


That's the first thing I noticed is the nice thick pelt!

That’s great I’m sure it does. Great bear congrats to Dan but it’s not a big bear it’s a fine bear just not big. Average MN bear. You guys are being sensitive.

Its easy to misinterpret someone when they are so short like you were in the beginning. It sorta came off as a little petty to me too, but none the less a great looking bear. Congrats Dan and everyone in that camp. Team effort im sure!
