trail cams at bear baits

Unread postby Freelance Bowhunter » Tue Aug 10, 2021 12:17 pm

Seems to me I just keep learning and with each new endeavor there are more things to learn and ways to be efficient. Here's how I'm handling the trail camera issue with a lot of baits this year.

That's lots of trail camera lock keys to deal with, I also stumbled searching for the right key for each lock years ago until I figured out you can buy Master Lock locks 12 at a time that uses the same key, issue solved.

Didn’t realize Locks are included in Covert lock box purchase. Still would buy multiple locks with one master key. They also make multiple cable locks with one master key, that way no need to damage trees with screws etc

I just gave up on locks all together, no lock no key needed. If someone really wants you camera there gonna get it either way. I do use bear boxes though so my camera stays in one spot and the bears don't move it around. Instead of a lock I just put a bolt with a wing nut through the hole

I’ve never had a trail camera stolen that was cable locked to a tree, if someone wants to go through the trouble to steal it they are going to have to work for it.
