How do you guys fix this problem? I was thinking about going in during the morning with a rake and clearing the ground by the bait with anything that might be left over.
Ik we could use bait with less sugar, we are working on that but we have the bait and we need to use it up.
My assumption is that the wasps and hornets will make the bears come in at night and maybe right away in the morning.
Looking forward to hearing what the old bear vets say.
We are baiting for my 13 kid. Grandpa passed his tag down to him this year!

Just deal with it, they usually will not bother you, they don’t bother the bears

I agree with Mike. If you not allergic then I'd just leave them be. Bears don't seem to mind and they just keep coming in.

The hornets seem to get intoxicated on all the sugar and aren’t as aggressive as you’d think. I typically wear long sleeves and gloves no matter how hot it is. It helps with the bugs and thorns a bit.
Persistence is undefeated.

10-4 ...If you bait bears, bees come with it just deal with it... It's the ground wasp that make a nest on your trail on the way out that you don't want to step on

I get stung once or twice every bear season... If there are no bees flocking to your bait, your probably not using the right bait... as Mike said, just put up with them. They are not all that aggressive. I generally get stung when I accidently grab one when handling bait
