Just did this video. Happens every year and here's the main reasons why.

I imagine I made a mistake when I got a little crazy with the mollassis huh? I had a quart or so and put it on al lot of trees in hopes to get them to come in . It was about Sept 14th. when I did this. It was a south wind and blew into the swamp. I know darn well some of them smelled it but no bear.

Interesting, the last time i had a bear tag I changed things up when it got close to season and I started baiting with more acorns and apples than sweets. Everyone else in my area was complaining(like they do every year) that their baits had gone cold, my bait stayed hot. I had unlimited amounts of acorns and apples that I could rake up for free right in mine and my neighbors yard.

I saw a fella set up either netting or fine mesh screen off the ground, just under the perimeter of the branches to collect his acorns.
