The only coyote I’ve shot was during spring turkey season. Seems when I see the most. I don’t target them specifically

I probably would, I just haven't gotten many opportunities this time of year.

But I'm there to turkey hunt and would prefer not to shoot anything other than one of those cursed birds.

Situational. If a bird is gobbling nearby, no. Any other time, yes. Called in a red fox this year. Was cool to see him sneak in.

If I would have a turkey and a coyote come in at the same time, I'll kill the coyote.
(And I have.)
Almost every kind of bird or animal that coyote kills and eats in the Springtime leaves some other kind of "babies" to starve, so I won't cry over the den of dead coyote pups if the mate can't feed them.

Harsh, but that's Nature.

I would in a heartbeat, but here in the great state of NY they are a fur bearer, so the season in oct-march. I do a lot
Of calling in the winter after deer season though, shoot as many as I can. It’s a blast
