I have never picked 1 because it can still be full on winter in the right year. Also if I go week 3 I cant use the early seasons excuses "oh they were in huge groups yet" or the week 6 excuse "oh the birds have all been shot at and are so call shy". Week 3 puts me right in the middle of the excuses. I am on a 7 year hot streak. No need for calls or decoys. Get between the roost and where the birds want to be and you could be home sipping coffee by 9 am.
