If so are they worth the money or should i spend a little more to get a better brand? I would mainly be looking at a non aggressive jake. Thanks
I use DSD.

Re: Decoy?
For me personally I would go with the flextone hard body decoys rather then the foldable. The foldable never spread out and look full properly. For the under $50 dollar amount in my opinion they are the best decoys in that price range with some good unique features. I should specify the hen decoys. Don’t care for the thunder turkey or whatever it is called as it’s body is much smaller then and actually Tom or Jake. I bought an Avian x hen last year and I could not get the kink out of the neck where it was folded, I ended up taking it back and getting the flextone standing hen, same pose as the Avian. My favorite feature is the stick is connected to the decoy and folds up into the tail, I never have to look for the stick, it’s always with the decoy.
As far as what ACK, and Muddy said, yup DSD are the best hands down, just depends on how much you want to pay. Eventually I want to upgrade to a DSD, but got too many mouths to feed right now, and I would like to deer hunt other states, so that is where my priorities lie.

Re: Decoy?
I like this. I made it from an old cheap jake deke. Zuleger ties it to a 14” wooden stake and clamped an old arrow to the wood stake so it sticks in the ground. I use it for sitting and scootn. It might have cost me $25. Probably less.

If you look you can find them used. I bought both of my hens used for half price and my jake used for almost half as well. The thing about DSD is that they warranty them to the point if stupidity. My old hard body hen fell off the shelf and the head smashed off. After emailing DSD they said to send her in, one of the guys in the shop wanted a challenge. I mailed in the body, the head, and about a dozen fragments of plastic. That guy somehow bondo'd my girl back together then poured some resin inside and got it sealed inside the neck as well. Then gave her an upgraded paint job and sent her back. All in the name of "a challenge". My jakes head was also tearing off and they fixed that and repainted it as well as flocking the back for free.
They may be premium price but NO ONE beats DSD for customer service.

Re: Decoy?
I’ve had the same experience as Muddy.....sent in two dekes for repair and they both came back looking like brand new. If you figure the customer service you’re getting in that price it’s a no brainer. Plus, they flat out hold birds in tight long enough to get shots....and then some.

And also, I look at them as an investment....kinda like Beast sticks or a Lone Wolf. They will last you a long, long time if you take care of them.

What decoys (sex, style) would you prioritize and how many?
