Remington 870 with super full turkey choke and 3" Hevi-shot magnum blend. I've taken quite a few over 50 yds.

Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison. Genesis 27:3

Remington 870 with federal #5 shot. It's been working great for me the last few years.
Hoyt RX7 bow, and exodus broadheads

Mossberg 835 pump. 12 ga., 3 1/2 inch shells in Federal #6.

Offers THE MOST bb's per shot. Its shooting roman candle sticks and packs serious "kick" but I probably will never shoot anything else (until my shells run out and I have to buy something else.)

Currently sitting with my sons 870 youth 20 gauge in my lap waiting for something to stroll by. I love this little gun, I put a Vortex Venom red dot on it and an Indian Creek choke. She slings the TSS like a dream. Yesterday I actually picked up a gun I’ve been wanting for awhile. I was able to buy my boss’s 1187 SP with the 21” barrel and Greenleaf camo. I’m looking forward to setting that one up, I think my 870 is gonna get retired from turkey hunting once I get that going.

I shoot a dedicated turkey shotgun. The gun, a Remington 870 SPS Super Magnum, sums up what I think a turkey gun should be. (At least for now. As always, I reserve the right to change my mind.)

I’m a hardwoods, run and gun guy. I converted my son’s Mossberg 510 Bantam 20 ga into my turkey rig once he outgrew it. Threw on the full size stock, factory full choke, kept the stock 18.5” barrel, 3” #9 TSS. Super light, and super short so I’m not snagging every branch and bush through the timber. Perfect for going ninja through the hardwoods and giving them a fatal headache when they pop that head over the ridge top looking for love from my call.

My go to is a Stoeger M3020 20 gauge semi auto that I had dipped in vintage bottomland, Vortex red dot and Apex ammo. Love it, way lighter then my 12 guage.

WV Bowhunter wrote:I have several different 20 ga shotguns I use for turkeys. Franchi Affinity, Rem 1100’s, and Rem 870. All will kill birds dead further than I care to shoot with my handloads.

Stoeger M3500 is a cheaper version of the Franchi Affinity, and rings in $600-$700. I'll be perfectly honest I don't like the feeling of the inertia system spring on the M3500, the Affinity's is nice. And the M3500 will jam a few times when cycling 2&3/4 shells until you've cycled about 100 rounds then it's no problem. It's accurate, I like the weight and balance of it, and like the 27" Barrel.

Remington 870 pump 12 gauge with Primos Jellyhead choke. The Magpul stock is for short length of pull and less severe grip angle. The Magpul forend is to feel cool.
