Lack of Turkey Poults

Unread postby krent12 » Mon Jun 28, 2021 3:54 am

I drive around a lot for work in NW WI. Last week I saw 15 hens all week in different areas. Not 1 had poults with them. 2 years ago i noticed a significant decline in turkeys and also this spring. This spring i acutally saw some jakes unlike 2 years ago. Is anybody else noticing the same thing?

Can't say that I've been seeing turkeys, but saw a hen pheasant on a gravel road with a large clutch of chicks yesterday. The dry weather during the nesting looks to have increased hatch rate. Hope it did the same for turkeys.
