Finally made it happen tonight with the bow. I’ve been hunting hard the last 4 weeks with multiple close calls. I found out how hard it is to get drawn back on a bird, much less get a shot off without them bolting. I’m a run n gunner so I wasn’t taking a blind in most places. Broke down and setup the blind in my uncles grass patch tonight, and had two jakes run into the setup 20 minutes later!! Good shot and he went right down. It’s a Jake but super happy to finally get one down there as this property has been in the family for multiple generations and this is the first bird to get taken down there. Great uncle Jim was looking down on me tonight!!
