Turkey seasons structure in WI

Unread postby Bowhunting Brian » Thu May 19, 2022 10:20 am

Do you all like it the way it is or would you like to see one long season and hunt like deer hunting?

Longer season, would be nice to have a couple of weekends to hunt, especially for the guys who don't want to burn up vacation on turkey hunting. Just my opinion

I would move first season back a week, knock off the 6th season and have 5, one week seasons. Go to a 2 bird limit with only one of those can be killed on public.

I would like more opportunity. 1 week is not enough. There are so many birds, do we even need a draw anymore?

It's perfect the way it is. The pressure the first few days of the season would be terrible if there were 1 or 2 seasons

I’m the same,,. it’s ok how it is. I don’t see a big need to tinker.

Personally, I am really busy in the spring, especially with my kids sports stuff. I have a tough time getting out more than once during my week long season. I’d like it extended to 2-3 weeks so I have more of an opportunity to hunt.

I like the way it is now as well. I'd actually like to see it go back to 5 days instead of 7 day seasons
