TSS is looney. I got some last year and I thought I was nuts for paying 40.

Re: Turkey load $70 a box?
The Born and Raised crew did a video on turkey loads! The $80 a box stuff! Outperformed everything else. By a long shot! So they begrudgingly decided to use it! This turkey season!
But yeah $80 dollars a box. A box with not many shells in it at that! Is unreal!!!
It's all part of the far lefts plan. Out price ammo. So we can't afford it! No ammo, guns are useless! Same with vehicles that run on fossil fuels!!!!

Screw that I’ll just use the cheap stuff and keep the shots 20 and in. Nothing is really cheap right now though

Re: Turkey load $70 a box?
I had no idea shotshells we're going for 15$ per shell.
What about a general pheasant load in number #4 shot through a full choke???
I remember when Hevi-Shot came out with waterfowl loads in 2000 or 2001 , and I thought they were overpriced.... My goodness...
16$ per shell ??? Crazy

Yup, pheasant loads and a full choke. For me it’s good to 40 yards. If I can’t get the bird closer than that I will go find another one.

At what point do you draw the line? Are we out there to kill? or to hunt for food? You can buy 4 frozen turkeys already cleaned for the price of 5 shells...

Re: Turkey load $70 a box?
Yep I drew the line at that price point TSS ammo. $15 a shot is crazy. There is still plenty of affordable turkey ammo. But turkey hunting, out of state especially, is expensive. With deer I can make the argument I am hunting for food. Not the case with turkey hunting, I just love it.
Some do. Some don't. I just might...

That's crazy I bought some Remington 12 gauge turkey Long range magnum 4 shot here for like 9.00 a box.
I wouldn't pay 70 a box for any shotgun shell ammo.

Re: Turkey load $70 a box?
I'll play devil's advocate for a minute. First, I totally agree that $15/shell is outrageous. But when I consider the amount of time I spend looking at maps and scouting in person, the obscenely early mornings getting up before work to listen for gobbles before season, and the amount of money I have in gas and tags... what's an extra few bucks to help ensure that the turkey stays down?
I've killed plenty of birds using regular shot, but this year I decided to get the TSS. Super expensive, but when I've already got plenty of money and tons of time into a hobby, I figured there was no reason not to add just a little extra insurance with my shells.
To each their own. I don't love the bill, but I will say that the two turkeys I shot this year with the TSS were absolutely anchored. Zero flopping. I've never seen that before, so I'm very happy with the performance.
