I was up in the chequamegon this weekend bear scouting for next year.

I ended up finding a gobbler near our camp, i didn't have a tag for up there anyways but i was still trying to figure out where he was

How far along is the green up there? It was definitely greener in zone 1 last weekend than it is here in Zone 2.

It seemed to be getting greener by the minute yesterday.

I had that happen last weekend, I about stepped on her before she took off. Never even saw her. Plenty of eggs in the nest.

I hunted the last few days. Had a couple oh-so-close but they wouldn’t commit to where it mattered. Went this morning and it was a total bust.

I limit myself to 2 toms a year, here in Wisconsin so i like to stretch the season out as long as possible. Killed my 2nd one today, took 7 tries, but i finally called him to me.
