Had quite a few birds around, but this guy came into some light rhythmic clucks from about 200 yards out.
Finally one that read the script and I didn't mess up.

Had a big snowstorm with 8-10” the day before but was able to find some gobblers and killed one on day 2 after 10 miles in a couple days hunting this bird. Was finally able to crawl into range as he never would come to a call. Figured he was a heavy old long spurred turkey the way he acted but he was not. Was 14 lbs with an 8 inch beard that was halfway torn off. I think that concludes my season. Good luck to all those still hunting.

I crept over the hill and was able to crawl within 30yds of him while he put on an absolute show. Spitting, drumming, gobbling, the whole nine yards. Super pumped!!
